ui42 is the company providing hiqh quality web development services and products. ui42's flagship product Buxus is a web content management and web development software. More than 100 web sites are currently managed by Buxus.

ui42 was founded in 1997 by graduate computer science and artifficial inteligence students after finishing their study placements across universities and research institutes in Britain, Austria and Slovakia. ui42 is a shortcut for office number 42 in Institute of informatics (Ustav Informatiky in Slovak) in Faculty of mathematics and physics of Comenius university, Bratislava (Slovakia), where ui42 company was started.

ui42 team was one of the first that pioneered internet and web technologies (including web content management) in Slovakia and Czech republic. One of the first clients of ui42 was MCI WorldCom where ui42 developed Collocation intranet application.

ui42 started Profesia - the market leader in online internet job market in Slovakia. Profesia has acquired in 1999 venture capital from Slovak American Enterprise Fundation and since 2000 it is a standalone company.

In 1999 ui42 developed Buxus - web content management and web development system. Buxus is a web based application provided either as a service (ASP license) or as a server software (Enterprise license).

The company is driven by a long term strategy of providing high quality services and maintaining win-to-win relationships with all its clients and overall market. High quality level of products and services and reasonable prices are key aspects for success in local Slovak and Czech markets as well as on growing markets in Europe and US.

ui42 was one of five companies nominated in 2001 for IT company of the year in Slovakia and its Buxus web content management system was nominated in 2004 for IT product of the year in Slovakia.

ui42 is based in Bratislava, Slovakia (Europe) and is a privately-held company.
