Starting to sell on Allegro is surprisingly easy and you can do it in just one day. The process can be summarized in six steps. From creating an account to verification to uploading the first products and then monitoring sales quality.

How to do it and what to watch out for?

Step 1: Create a Seller Account

When filling out the form, be especially careful when choosing a login name. This will be the name of your company visible to all customers. A good tip is – instead of Peter456, use your company's name.

Step 2: Verify Your Account

Verification is a standard security process consisting of two parts:

  • Bank Account Verification – you can do it via online transfer, classic transfer, or by uploading a bank statement.
  • Responsible Person Verification – upload a scan of the company director's ID card or passport.

Simple verification takes 1 – 2 days. If your company structure is more complex, Allegro may require additional documents.

Step 3: Activate the Welcome Program

Ideally right after verification. The program guarantees you 0% commission on sales up to 6,500 EUR or during the first six months when you offer your products on Allegro. And why deal with it right away? You are entitled from the moment you verify your account, not from the date of welcome program activation.

Step 4: Upload Your Products

When uploading products, keep these important points in mind:

  • Upload the entire portfolio, even products that don't sell well on your e-shop. They may perform significantly better on Allegro.
  • Fill in EAN codes correctly and if the EAN already exists in the catalog, link the product to the existing card.
  • Pay attention to quality and fill in the name, mandatory parameters (marked with an asterisk), detailed description. Don't forget quality photos.
  • Set the correct VAT for each market and choose the correct category to add products to, so customers find them where they are looking.

Step 5: Set Prices and Shipping

At this point, define your pricing strategy with two bands. One will be for standard sales and the other for discount campaigns. For better visibility, you can join the Smart program and also use Allegro Delivery with advantageous carrier contracts (Allegro One, DPD, Zásielkovňa). The advantage? You offer customers the widest possible delivery options. 

Step 6: Monitor Sales Quality

Directly in the "My Sales Quality" tab, regularly check your score. The goal is to maintain at least a neutral (0 – 99 points), ideally aiming for a super level (from 285 points). Sales quality directly affects your search position. A few tips to improve it:

  • respond as quickly as possible, ideally within 4 hours,
  • ship goods according to the announced time,
  • strive to maintain positive ratings and actively address any issues or negative reviews.
